WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Yamaha Music (Asia) Private Limited (hereinafter called YMA), undertakes the warranty of the mentioned product for the period enumerated under "Warranty Term" from the date of purchase against any defective workmanship and / or materials.

 

1.0

Warranty Coverage

1.1

YMA warrants the Yamaha product specified herein against defects in workmanship and/or materials for the period stated under the applicable Warranty Term, commencing from the original date of purchase, subject to the terms and conditions below.

1.2

This warranty is valid only for products purchased in Singapore from authorised Yamaha dealers and applies exclusively to the original end-user purchaser. The warranty is non-transferable and non-assignable.

2.0

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover defects, damage, or failure resulting from any of the following:

2.1.

Damage incurred during transit, packing, shipment, or delivery arranged by the customer, carrier, or transport agent.

2.2

Normal wear and tear, routine adjustments, consumables (including batteries), or damage arising from normal maintenance.

2.3

Deterioration or malfunction caused by accident, negligence, misuse, abuse, improper handling, improper storage, warehousing conditions, corrosion, perspiration, exposure to extreme heat, cold, dampness, or unsuitable environmental conditions, as well as Acts of God or Acts of Government. For piano products: The warranty shall be rendered null and void if the piano heater is not switched on continuously as recommended.

2.4

Defects or damage arising from repair, modification, or attempted repair by any party other than YMA or an authorised YMA service agent.

2.5

Improper installation, incorrect operation, or failure to follow instructions outlined in the owner’s manual.

2.6

Products with serial numbers that have been altered, removed, defaced, obliterated, or products that are parallel imported.

2.7

Signal reception issues, use of incorrect electrical supply or voltage, power surges, lightning damage, electrical abnormalities, or RF/EMI interference caused by improper grounding or improper use of certified or uncertified equipment.

2.8

Accessories supplied with the product, including but not limited to antennas, AC adapters, batteries, cables, connectors, microphones, remote controls, and heaters.

2.9

Any evidence of alteration, erasure, forgery, or invalidity of proof-of-purchase documents.

3.0

Repair & Replacement

3.1

Where a product is determined by YMA to be beyond economical repair, YMA reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to replace the product with an equivalent model.

3.2

The customer shall be responsible for any removal, reinstallation, application setup, or configuration associated with the replacement product.

4.0

Service & Transportation

4.1

The customer is responsible for delivering the product to and collecting the product from the YMA Service Centre upon completion of service or repair.

4.2

Where delivery or collection is arranged by YMA, all labour, transportation, and related charges, together with any non-warranty repair costs, shall be fully borne by the customer, unless otherwise expressly stated.

5.0

Collection of Serviced Products

5.1

All products serviced by YMA must be collected within three (3) months from the date of notification.

5.2

Failure to collect the product within this period shall entitle YMA to dispose of or sell the product to recover any costs incurred, including but not limited to storage charges, without further liability.

6.0

Use of Personal Information

6.1

YMA will use the personal details provided by the customer solely for purposes directly related to the administration, processing, and fulfilment of warranty services, including service coordination, repair updates, and warranty verification.

6.2

YMA will contact customers by post, telephone, or email only where necessary in connection with warranty services and will not use such personal details for marketing or promotional communications.

7.0

Limitation of Liability

7.1

Any provision of this warranty found to be prohibited or unenforceable under applicable law shall be ineffective only to the extent of such prohibition, without affecting the validity of the remaining provisions.

7.2

YMA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of use, income, or data, arising from product defects or warranty claims to the extent permitted by law.

8.0

Governing Terms

8.1

This warranty is valid only in Singapore.

8.2

The determination by YMA regarding defects, workmanship, or materials shall be final and conclusive, and the customer agrees to abide by such determination.
